In this learning module, you will:

  • Learn why it is important to get students' names right
  • Learn how to ensure names are said correctly

Note: All lessons below will be included in the quiz at the end of the module. We recommend completing them in order.

There are many ways you can use this module for your own learning or to support your colleagues' professional learning, including PD credit and materials.

  • Professional Certificate: A downloadable certificate for 1 hour of professional learning is available after completing the quiz for this module.
  • Extension activities: Extension activities may be used by schools, districts, and higher education programs in training, for assignments, or for learning artifacts that can be submitted for credit to professional learning programs.

  • Professional Development: You can use the free slide deck to offer training and do turnkey sessions. In addition, participants can take the quiz to get the certificate after you deliver the slide deck.
