Video Library

Colorín Colorado is pleased to present a rich library of video content focused on English language learners (ELLs), including classroom videos from schools around the country, professional development webcasts, and interviews with educators, administrators, researchers, and authors of children's and young adult literature.

These videos can be used in a variety of settings, including professional development workshops, parent outreach events, and, in the case of author interviews, in the classroom.

Partners in the creation of these videos include the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), the AFT Innovation Fund, the National Education Association, Carnegie Corporation, and the Education Development Center.

Our Video Series

Student listens to teacher
Our classroom videos highlight effective instruction of ELLs. The videos are presented as professional development modules with related resources including strategies, teacher reflection interviews, and where applicable, information about relevant standards.
Academic Language for English Learners Webcast with Dr. Robin Scarcella and Delia Pompa
Our professional development webcasts feature experts in the ELL field and include a 45- to 60-minute video program, recommended readings, and suggested discussion questions.
Meet some of our favorite authors, illustrators, and storytellers! Learn how they got their start, what they love about their work, and where they find their inspiration — as well as stories behind some beloved books.
These professional development video interviews and podcasts with leaders in the ELL field from across the country cover topics from preschool to improving graduation rates, as well as multicultural children's literature and classroom ideas for teachers.
