National Council of La Raza

NCLR is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan, tax-exempt organization established in 1968 to reduce poverty and discrimination and improve life opportunities for Hispanic Americans.

Sikh Coalition

Started as an effort to educate the greater North American community on Sikhs and Sikhism, the coalition seeks to safeguard the rights of all citizens as well as to promote the Sikh identity and communicates the collective interests of Sikhs to the community at large. The coalition serves as a resource for all organizations and individuals as well as a point of contact to Sikh people.

Public Advocates

Public Advocates challenges the systemic causes of poverty and discrimination by promoting civil rights through advocacy, litigation, and partnership with low-income communities, people of color, and immigrants.

Maryland Vietnamese Mutual Association (MVMA)

MVMA works out of Silver Spring, Maryland and provides services such as Vietnamese-English translation, naturalization, family reunion and employment. MVMA promotes the active participation of Asian Americans in the community and civic affairs at all levels. MVMA also hosts tutoring and recreational programs for members of the Vietnamese community.

League of United Latin American Citizens

LULAC advances the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, health and civil rights of Hispanic Americans through community-based programs operating at more than 700 LULAC councils nationwide.

Korean American Coalition

KAC is a national nonprofit community service, education and advocacy organization established in 1983 to facilitate the Korean American community's effective participation in civic, legislative, political and community affairs. The first chapter was founded in Los Angeles.

Japanese American Citizens League

The Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) is a membership organization whose mission is to secure and maintain the human and civil rights of Americans of Japanese ancestry and others victimized by injustice. Founded in 1929, the JACL has 112 chapters nationwide and eight regional districts with over 24,000 members nationwide and in Japan.
