Lesson Summary
Ali Nava is an elementary teacher in Albuquerque, New Mexico and a member of the first-grade cadre in our Common Core in Albuquerque project.
In this video, Ali walks her students through an interactive reading of the final pages of Burro's Tortillas, a southwestern adaptation of the classic folk tale "The Little Red Hen." She asks them to summarize earlier parts of the story, predict the end of the story, and discuss the story's moral.
