Since its founding in 1961, AED has worked to improve decision making for educational reform and workforce development in the United States. The organization works at all levels of the education system, focusing on teacher preparation and student achievement. Programs support children with disabilities, Migrant Head Start, high-school and middle-school reform, youth engagement, and access to higher education.

American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education

The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education is a national voluntary organization of colleges and universities that prepare the nation's teachers and other educational personnel. Located in Washington, D.C., AACTE is the leader for innovation in teacher education.

Bay Area Coalition for Equitable Schools

The Bay Area Coalition for Equitable Schools (BayCES), is a nonprofit organization that assists schools, school districts, and community groups in the work of creating or redesigning schools to elevate overall achievement. The BayCES mission is to dramatically improve educational outcomes and life options for students and families who have been historically underserved by their schools and districts. BayCES is a network of equitable, high performing, small public schools.

California Tomorrow

Founded in 1984, California Tomorrow is a non-profit organization that has built a strong body of research and experience supporting individual, institutional, and community change work around matters of diversity and equity in: public schools, community building organizations, family serving institutions, early childhood programs, organizations, family serving institutions, early childhood programs, philanthropy, and the after school/youth development arena. Center for Research on Education, Diversity, and Excellence

CREDE is a federally funded research and development program focused on improving the education of students whose ability to reach their potential is challenged by language or cultural barriers, race, geographic location, or poverty. The site provides access to publications, research, and toolkits for administrators, teachers, and parents.

Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorders

Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is the nation's leading non-profit organization serving individuals with ADHD and their families. CHADD has over 16,000 members in 200 local chapters throughout the country. Chapters offer support for individuals, parents, teachers, professionals, and others.

Children's Defense Fund

The mission of the Children's Defense Fund is to Leave No Child Behind; and to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start, and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities. CDF provides a strong, effective voice for all the children of America who cannot vote, lobby, or speak for themselves, particularly poor and minority children and those with disabilities.

Children's Literature Connection

The Children's Literature Connection is an organization dedicated to the advancement of children's literature. Goals include encouraging networking and collaboration among writers, illustrators, teachers, librarians, booksellers, publishers, editors, parents, and others, and strengthening the connection between the people who create children's books and the people who use them.

D.C. Language Access Coalition

The D.C. Language Access Coalition's (Coalition) goal is to ensure that DC residents and workers who are limited English proficient (LEP) or non-English proficient (NEP) have equal access to the most essential government benefits and services including food stamps, Medicaid, health care, unemployment benefits, job training programs, public education, fire and emergency services, the police department and mental health services.

The Education Trust, with online resources in English and Spanish, works to close the achievement gaps that separate low-income and minority students from other youth. It provides users with free fact sheets, PowerPoint presentations, searchable databases, and more.

EEC is a national not-for-profit organization that promotes bias-free learning through innovative programs and materials. Founded in 1982, our mission is to decrease discrimination based on gender, race/ethnicity, disability, and level of family income.

Girls Inc.

Girls Inc. is a national nonprofit youth organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. With roots dating to 1864, Girls Inc. has provided vital educational programs to millions of American girls, particularly those in high-risk, underserved areas.
