At the beginning of the year, I actually do an all-staff training with every teacher in our system about ways that they can help with English language development, even if they're not the English language learner teacher, that involves saying hello in the hallway, engaging them on bus duty, things like that. But I also do a separate training with each one of my students’ classroom teachers, and I always share the resources that are on Colorin Colorado because if you're coming from a background where you've not taught a student who's learning English, for the first time, it can be sort of a daunting task and you may feel overwhelmed, but there are so many different resources on there that teachers are able to adapt and read and understand, including some of the letters that go home to parents in Spanish. That is incredibly helpful as well.
